|Antique Wooden Cabbage Slicer
This cabbage slicer (or slaw maker) is about 9 x 25 3/4 x 18 1/2 high" (from the ground to the top of the cabbage box). It has a nice, naturally developed patina. The slicer was well made, with the box used for holding the cabbage nicely dovetailed. The manufacturer's name and patent number are impressed in the wood. Several wing nuts are missing from the bottom bolts that retain the blades. (The wing nuts attach underneath the trough.) The legs appear to be a later addition and will be removed for shipping. They may be easily reattached or left off for mounting on a wall.
